LONDON, 23 January 2017: The Armchair Trader, the information and education website for active investors and traders, has completely re-launched its user interface. The new look website has been tailored to the needs of beginning to intermediate traders and investors.

With the re-launch, The Armchair Trader has widened its scope from CFD and derivatives trading to cover margin forex, futures, ETFs and stocks. Investor forumsinvesting guidesbroker analysis tables and a self-analysis quiz for new traders have all been added as part of the new site.

“The re-launch of The Armchair Trader reflects a wider trend on the part of personal investors towards a more self-directed approach,” said Michael Morton, a director and co-founder of The Armchair Trader. “Since the launch of The Armchair Trader in 2011 we have seen more interest on the part of individuals in taking more control of their financial destiny.”

The Armchair Trader’s mission is to continue to provide objective information and analysis of the various means by which investors can access financial markets. As awareness of the impact markets have on everyday lives increases in the post-Brexit environment, retail investors are looking for ways to profit from the major changes in the structure of markets which they read about.

“There is more and more interest in what is going on,” adds Morton. “Investors are no longer content to part with a fee to watch their money underperform the market. We launched The Armchair Trader partly to make new traders more aware of the risks of leverage, but now we want to also cater to those individuals who want to take a more active role in portfolio management.”

The site was designed by Mouse Creative, a London-based design agency which specialises in creating websites that focus on the user’s experience. Mouse Creative has worked with a range of leading international brands in developing websites that enhance the user’s journey and optimise their information experience.

About The Armchair Trader

The Armchair Trader is an independent website dedicated to providing education resources for novice to intermediate traders. Established in 2010 to provide jargon-free intelligence on what is happening in the global online broking industry, its coverage is tailored to the requirements of private individuals, especially those with no track record in the financial industry that wish to learn more about trading financial markets. The Armchair Trader’s mission is to help traders make sense of the often complex and opaque world of online derivatives and stock trading, and to hopefully avoid some of the costly early mistakes.
